Just kidding, but I am very happy at the results of the plant table voting at the HOS meeting on Thursday. For the very first time, I had one of my plants voted "best hybrid". And although it is not a breathtakingly gorgeous new hybrid it has a lot of spikes and flowers again this year. There would have been several more but the grasshoppers and/or snails got a couple. Some pics of Bl. Yellow Bird:
Thanks for looking

Thank you all for your nice comments. I have had this plant for many years. I was tempted to get rid of it because I would get only one puny bloom each year. The nursery I bought it from told me they had not gotten it to bloom either and that is why they sold it to me. I think I must have found some good info somewhere about culture because, lo and behold, a couple of years ago, it started to bloom. It gets lots of sun and water in the summer. The pbulbs start to get a little purple but have not burned.
As for where to get it ???? I might google it just for fun.
Thanks again
Beverly A.
