I was told to look into this thread... I find it semi civilized, so no red cards issued :D Be nice and play nice boys and girls. Enjoy the freedoms here at OB, but try not to abuse them.

Now that I think about it... I don't think I ever issued any red cards here, hehehe.

Thanks, Marty. As they say, "Fair and Balanced!" It's a major reason so many of us are here... This is a GREAT place to call HOME!

Geese!

I just hit this thread for the first time and read the last two posts...now I'm gonna have to read all 5 pages to find out what the drama is about

Post Script after reading the thread:

#1 If someone pm'ed me with an insult....although I have a doctorate in medicine, my grandpa drove a big ass truck and I'd have a few choice words for them

#2 Any forum/website has the right to control content and it is (as they say) "what it is"

:twocents::twocents::twocents::twocents:

And one more comment!!!

My MOST FAVORITE things on THIS FORUM is the presentation of DISEASE!

For me, the most challenging aspect of growing orchids is not just the culture aspect.

Culture information is readily available and easily found from textbooks and internet sources.
The typical post here (always welcome however) "help me how do take care of xyz" is usually from someone who does not have the time or surf experience to find the info they need. This is the reason someone might be provoked to remark sarcastically and then get put in their place by me :yikes: (Don't pick on my friends :blushing:)

The blooms pics are fun and also educational for me.
However, other forums have this too....

But I LOVE the posts: My plant has this finding (picture) and "what the heck is it and please help me save it from dying".
I have not seen this much on other forums. Or the forum does not have the volume of users for timely responses.

So kudos OB!

The pm i received was not an insult. More of some kind of arrogant and condescending tone and phrasing. No big deal. I like sarcasm sometimes

With all this talk about the other boards, I have a strange question. I haven't been able to go onto orchidgeeks in a long time, could I have been ip banned? I can't imagine what I did, but I seem to be the only one with this problem. I don't remember the email I used to sign up, so I have no clue if they sent me anything about it. Aggravating, because although I use this board way more often for information, I post more often there.

I obviously have not posted here in quite some time. I can testify that there have been many changes since I last posted. I will try to get back on later, but my main question is when do you folks chat?

You've most likely had your IP address banned. When I got banned, I just thought it was the account, but it is impossible for me to access the site from any device inside my house. I thought for a while that it was just the devices I had used to log on (main computer, PSP, and Ipad), but I do now know that it is an IP ban.

I know for while chat wasn't being used much, as whatever it is that would show that there were people in chat had been disabled for a while. A few days ago, I noticed that was working again, so hopefully there will be more people chatting again. In the past, it seemed that 5-6 o'clock Pacific time, especially on weekdays, there would frequently be people in chat.
