WOW,
so many great pictures!
Here is me at the 13th Redlands (May 2009)
And this one is my 3 y.o. son with his personal plant (C.dowiana var. rosita. This is the back bulb division of my plant. I don't know why, but he is crazy about this one).

One friend of mine told me that sometimes children are more successful with the plants than us, grown-ups. I don't know if it is true... I'll know for sure if his Cattleya blooms earlier than mine |

Saw this thread had been revived. Here's a recent pic: me hiking up in Alaska, late last summer. Amazing place, and one of the best trips I've taken so far.

Thanks, Susanne! Amazing part of the world. Can't wait to get back up there. This pic was on a 17-mile round-trip solo hike, and thankfully there were no bear encounters -- though I did see lots of prints and broken tree branches. |
