and a few relocations in the orchid room

We've had cold temps for the past few nights (tonight should be the end of it for now ) and all the chids got moved into their safe haven.

Last year, I kept hoping against hope that the warm days would stick around and ended up moving them all in and out a number of times

Not this year!!!

They are all staying just where they are for the duration except of the vandas. Only moving about a dozen hanging chids instead of what's usually out there will make it a lot easier for me this winter

I just hope my plants are still acclimatized to the outdoors. They've been in here for two days now. I was going to put them outside Friday and Saturday, but it was just too cold.

Anyway, here's cheering for warmer temperatures. Hopefully, this winter won't be as cold as some others have been.

Gee whiz fellows - you're both in Florida - what do you consider cold?! Up here we're having it a bit "warmer" for this time of year - it's 53 right now!

I usually keep mine out until it is supposed to drop below freezing.

Somebody living in the mdwest would most likely have very different criteria than us Floridians...it all comes back to "do what works for you"
