We have feeders for the birds and I heard a commotion the other day. I overheard one bird saying to the others...."This place is alright, but I'm going up to Bird Song Farm and visit Al." Yup yup, then they all headed North.

Terri, that quilt is gorgeous! I do some quilting myself, so I really can imagine all the work involved! I'm working on a quilt for my bed. I'm doing a motif that looks like 3D cubes. I love it! I'm nearly done, but it took a very very long time since I hand-stitched the entire thing and only have time to quilt during summer vacation. In all, it took me 5 summers to complete.

That's so neat Camille! Funny how we share two hobbies! I think the name of the pattern you are working on is called Tumbling Blocks. It's considered quite challenging to make. And hand pieced! I definitely want to see a picture when it's done.

I agree, it's nice for people here to share hobbies! I'll take a picture of it when I go home for christmas. I looked up the term 'tumbling blocks' and that is exactly what I am making! I made the blocks quite big since this is my first full sized quilt, and also because one of the fabrics used has horses running on it. I still have to sew the quilt, batting and back together, which will be a long job.
I also don't have much time for quilting since I also do scrapbooking, drawing, and knit my own sweaters. Not enough time for everthing!! Not to mention taking care of the orchids!

I chose my username because I'm a 93 year old Amish burlesque dancer called Kiki L'Amour-Yoder.
