Default Twinkle re-potting?

I just received a very cute Twinkle that's flowering but literally bursting out of its little pot. I can't tell what the media in there is, but from the 1mm shred of space on the top i think it might be sphag. Now, this is one of those multi-slotted pots, so it dries out fairly quickly i'd assume. So should I repot into something like bark or s/h now or wait till it's finished flowering? And how often should i try watering it (there's seriously no space to pour water from the top, it's all bulbs since i can't really get a feel for when it's drying out? I have it on a humidity tray and there's a mister running, if that means anything.

well i would just play it safe and repot it. better to lose the blooms than lose the plant, rite? especially if the flowers have been open for a few weeks. however, if u chose to wait, i would suggest playing it safe and water less until u can repot

my new pseudobulbs are growing right after my flowers dropped, so i doubt yours will be long behind. and more pseudobulbs = less space = new roots (good opportunity to repot). but thatz just my 2cent. post some pictures of ur blooms ^^ i miss mines already

Those little Twinkles just burst out of those tiny pots so quickly. I've got roots shooting out all over the place, bulbs puffing up to overflowing AND new growth starting to come in as well.

These oncidicums just turn into monsters. . .like you, I have no room to even pour water in. It's that tight! I am planning on repotting tomorrow.

I'll be going with a small clay pot, just a little bigger than the one it's in. And I plan to use a bark mix for seedlings with a little spaghnum mixed in.

So, my vote. . .is repot it once the blooms have all fallen and you begin to see new growth emerging. That tells me that it's got the energy burst to make the transition to the new pot with its full strenth.

mmm twinkle ball....
i've never tried mounting anything. I'm afraid it'll turn out too high maintenace for me and kill the plant
Maybe i'll just put it in a big S/H pot (on Ray's page it says you can't overpot with that) and then it can blow up for the next....? year?? but i do admit the twinkle ball sounds yummy.
here's the pic anyway

Your plant will not do well mounted because you will not be able to maintain the necessary moisture it needs on a mount. Oncidiums do best when pot bound. If you will take note, they are always growing in very small pots. As long as the mix is still good you should not repot until the bulbs start to run over the rim. Re-potting when in flower is a violation of the rules. Wait until the flowering has finished and then repot if you feel it is necessary.
