jerry--yes i know they like to be root bound, lots of water, and quick drying. as well, mine's have been out of bloom already and i have new leads. and i'll see how they turn out and if they dun take the mount much. i'll just put mount and plant back into s/h if itz not coming off. as well, repotting when blooming is not always a violation to the rules, there are always exceptions. i repot everything i bring home unless im dire in making sure the blooms last.

irrka--i mounted the twinkles.but b/c it had lots of roots, the mass of moss looks weird, haha. but overtime, that will shrink as it breaks down and the plant grows into it and onto the mount.

Default And more questions on re-potting the Twinkle...

- what kind of stuff would you pot a Twinkle in ?(according to Ray they're not much for S/H. Mine still has a bunch of flowers but it's putting out some new leaves, and i just can't tell with the roots, they look white??)

- Nick: how is the twinkle (future)-ball doing?

apparently i didnt bind it well and it 'fell' off when i moved it around to be watered, haha. so i gave up trying to mount it again since it wasnt the first time it fell off--arts and crafts aint my talent. so i'll saved the cork for something else. itz in s/h. and itz growing quick, 2 leads and they they are getting big. new roots yet to come from them yet, but i aint worried. i'll show u when it matures a little more.

hmm house, low humidity? i dunno... most likely i guess... i dun have a hygrometer to check. poor light--nah, i have four 2.5'X8.5' ceiling to floor due south (unobstructed) windows. haha. my bedroom is the only place that can grow anything. right now itz about 25*C (80*F) with no central heating on. just the sunshine =)

nice. Well i took the plunge and moved it to S/H. keeping my fingers crossed. There was a ton of roots and digging the bark bits was quite a hassle, but hopefully that'll mean it'll establish easily

well as long it had leads, i doubt it can sulk for long anyhow, haha. my 2 leads are growing like mad, about an 1" already ^^ especially lately when my room has been quite warm due to the clear days lately.

when you're saying leads, you mean the little bunch of leaves, right? (at least that's what it looks like)

wat i meant by 'leads' are the new pseudobulbs that are growing at the base of the older mature pseudobulbs
