Good luck to you on your latest aquisitions! They're terrific.
Gwen, my species Tolumnia perked up right away when I put it in the orchidarium under eally high light (in fact the leaves started turning purple!) New growth and everything. I thing low humidity does these in (at least the species ones). The hybrids seem more tolerant.

The equitant oncidiums are great plants for limited space. They usually start blooming now and bloom until April. Please remember not to cut the spike once the flowers at the tip had finished because they will rebloom lower down on the spike. Additionally, they will sometimes kiki on the finished bloom spikes. They also like perfect drainage so do not keep too moist. In Central Florida, I water about every other day if the weather is sunny but they are growing in medium grade charcoal. Your plants were really at bargain prices because they usually sell for $12 to $15 and up. I grow in a greenhouse but I expect that these plants would do wonderfully under lights.

Thanks for the info. I am in south Florida and they live outside. I plan on watering when they look dry.

you lucky dog! Wish they were that cheap here! I love the Tolumnias! Water every day but make sure they are BONE DRY by night. And DON'T cut the spike unless it turns brown, they will reflower for months on end from the same spike, even sending out new bracts from where old flowers have fallen off!
