Two Tolumnia from Hausermann's arrived
After a bit of a delay, order arrived today! So happy! I have a Tolumnia jairak flyer "fantastic " and a Tolumnia red berry miniature. These are nice size plants and look very healthy. They both have old flower spikes on them, should I cut those off? The red berry miniature's spike is still green, the jairak flyer's is brown and crispy.
I plan on mounting these. Here are pictures tho probably sideways:/ what's up with that? I didn't used to have that problem.

Beautiful plant!
Leave the spikes. it's hard to tell if they are really dead. They can rebloom from old spikes, and also make new plants - which you can trade.
They do great in high light and plenty of air circulation. They like frequent watering but need to dry out completely between waterings. If the leaves start getting tiny wrinkles, that means not enough water. I soak mine for 6-12 hours every week or so if I see wrinkles. My humidity can be pretty low.

Estacion seca, thank you they are nice healthy plants. I think mounting them will be best. I have a Tolumnia sylvertris 'El Gato' mounted on a wine cork and it grows very well. It is so tiny but a fun little Tolumnia!

Thank you Wintergirl, I thought they looked very nice. I've not ordered from Hausermann's before and I guess they kind of lost my order? I emailed them and they sent them FedEx fast so I'm happy.

Trying to stop? Now why would you do that, it's spring after all. I'm so tired of planting outside in our beds, constantly weeding, mulching, watering, trimming...blah I'm too old for that anymore and orchids are way more fun. Lol

Offer to teach neighborhood kids how to garden. Tell them you won't charge them a dime.

Tolumnia might be my Favorite orchid. I have 3 and all are in spike right now I am so happy. Lots of high light and let them go just about totally dry before you water and they will be happy.
