Psychopsis Mendenhall 'Hildos'
This orchid hangs by a south facing window in my tiny CO apt. It has been recently repotted in small lava rocks with a top layer of sphagnum. I received this orchid in spike about three or four months ago and it has now bloomed. A second spike is now growing. I love this orchid ❤️

Very nice!
The leaves were the reason I bought this one. Good thing as mine is still not blooming size.

Yes, they are really just all around one of the most fascinating orchids in terms of appearance. The bulbs and leaves are beautiful in their own right, and the blooms are large, brightly colored, and long lasting.

Thank you Wintergirl, Leafmite, the leaves were definitely one of the main reason I purchased it as well. I always appreciate an orchid that looks great even when not in bloom MrHappyRotter, isn't that right

Mandy,
Very nice Orchid. Are you a member of the Colorado Springs Orchid Society? We are having a meeting this weekend if you want to stop in.
For some reason I can't post the link but look us up on google.

Heck yeah!!!! We have some great growers and from what I see from you......you will fit in just perfect. I am one of the youngest members there. Look for Roger Stone..he is our president. You can stay for as long as you like or even leave early. It's all up to you.
