Thanks everyone
Does anyone have a guesstimate on how long it might take the more developed buds to bloom? Now that I know they're there I'm all impatient

Just noticed a 3rd spike!!! Was hiding in the crinkled up leaves AND the buds on the largest spike are starting to turn reddish...hopefully the wait won't be too much longer

Thanks
Did you try thoroughly abusing it? Mine seems to have thrived on it. I've completely annihilated its root system twice and had it in 3 different mediums... I really can't take any credit because I haven't the faintest idea how it didn't die a loooong time ago.

Well Judy don't stop the abuse your giving it now as it loves it and is showing you just how much... Now it is making you wait to bloom since it had to wait till you figured or as we so call it stumbled on what it truly likes. Now be patient and wait its will bloom soon.

I've been limiting the abuse to verbal because I don't want to damage the spikes but I may resort to knocking it around a bit if it doesn't bloom soon

I'm guessing you'll be seeing open blossoms in a week or two, be sure and post.

Can someone please help me pick my jaw up off the floor??? I'm still waiting on the first spike of buds to open, they look like they're getting close but I just noticed that the pbulb that sent out the third spike is now in double spike...I need more Miltoniopsis in my life!
