It might be just natural aging process - you don't know how long the plant has been in bloom before you purchased it

Well, brace yourself - it is guaranteed that at some point or another you will break something off - a new growth, a bud, anything. It's the law of orchid growing. A very upsetting law, if I may add

Well done It was soaking day for our chids today, I had to be careful with our ondicium spike, it's over 60cm long - wouldn't want to break that!

We're having winter down here currently, but we still get tons of sun during the day. All our orchids are sitting in our bedroom, as it is the sunniest room, and I couldn't help myself to move all my stuff here and I sit with them!
It actually reminds me when I went to my first orchid show and saw a repotting tutorial - the only thing I remember from that and I guess I'll always remember is 'your orchids want to sit where you sit - not in a dark corner or a cold room, nor full on sunshine in summer, cooking'. So yup, we sit happily together
