So this time of year always gives me the orchid itch, that sounds gross, lol. This time of year I just love buying orchids. I have mostly phalaenopsis' but I've been wanting to try different orchids. This is my most recent adoption.

Orchids make me happy :-)

The first flowering is always wonderful, because really, you don't know what you have till then. It could be mislabeled, it could have mutated in flask, it could have been a seedling cross, etc.

I know, it's so exciting! I just bought it and out of all of them I had to choose from at the nursery, it was the only one that didn't have any open flowers. I picked it so it would be a surprise to me when they opened. :-)

Great find! I agree it looks so healthy. I've had to treat my "itch" - you're right that sounds pretty funny :P - recently. Seems I've had a real bad case...and now a show to go to...any who... I look forward to seeing all those blooms open.

Orchids make me happy too.

Looks like it's going to be really pretty!
Me too I have a bad orchid itch. I'm actually taking care of that itch today. Now that the weather has warmed up, I'm ordering from my favorite grower again

Thanks all! I can't wait for all the blooms to open either, they are so neat looking. I have to go back to the nursery tomorrow to get this awesome plant stand they have. I'm pretty sure I'll come home with another plant of some sorts, haha.
