larger than normal spike on trichocentrum undulatum
I was walking around this morning and realized all my trichocentrums were spiking but I spotted that the largest and oldest one I had that had leaves measuring 18 inches had a spike about 1 and a half cenitmeters! I've never seen a spike that thick on a trichocentrum before normally the spikes would be half or three quarter centimeters. Can't wait to seem what happens next, will keep you guys updated

Congratulations! Trichocentrums are capable of producing some very large flower spikes. Please post a picture when it blooms.

hey guys, i havent been on orchid board for awhile but i had time so i took pics of the trichocentrum blooms, The spike is more than 5 feet long with more than 300 blooms. The spike is so heavy it started to drop and reach the floor si i had to tie the spike to the tree.
