Default Miltassia NOID

I bought this about 4 or 5 years ago and never bloomed until last year. I thought it was an Oncidium when I bought it but now I'm pretty sure its a Miltassia 'Royal Robe', what do you think.

I think you are on to something. Couple things, it has the Brassia genetics in both the petals and the pseudobulbs, and it has the Miltonia lower lip. Beyond that, I have no clue.

I have a Logees Holiday catalog and it sure looks like it could be Orchid Miltassia Royal Robe 'Jerry's Pick'.

Hi Jo Ann , it sure does look like 'Jerry's Pick' except mine has some striping on the sepals and lip but it is most likely a variation of it. Mine has much shorter leaves also. I think I will label it "Miltassia 'Royal Robe' ?"

I have the Mtssa. 'Royal Robe' also and it's just blossoming for the very first time here too. Got it at a HD about a year ago and it is exactly like yours...leaves and all. Mine is starting to have a very nice fragrance. Have you tried smelling it yet? Took a few days.
You have very nice blooms! Looks nice and healthy too. Kudos! kiki

Sorry kiki but this plant actually stopped blooming about two months ago ( I forgot to mention that part), but I do remember a fragrance.
