I purchased this at an orchid show in April 2012, with three small pseudobulbs, and two spikes with maybe 5 small flowers on it. It grew a much larger pseudobulb over the summer and last winter was starting to throw off a healthy spike of flowers that became snail bait instead

This summer's new growth was even more vigorous and now this beauty has two spikes of flowers, and the first to bloom are a deep rich burgundy. Definitely worth 2 years wait and $15 cost.

Just a follow up on the last post, when I had one spike just coming into bloom and one still just forming. Well over the last week the second spike began to bloom, I'm very happy with how this one turned out.
