Default Goodaleara Tahitian Dancer - again!

Goodaleara (Brassia x Cochlioda x Miltonia x Odontoglossum x Oncidium)

I got this in bloom in spring '09 - it dutifully rebloomed the following spring (last year). It then surprised me by spiking again in the fall; bloomed (single spike) late Jan - early Feb. A month, or so, after those blooms were finished, I saw another spike starting on a newly mature pbulb, which started a second spike a couple of weeks after that. There is also a third spike growing (no buds yet) from another recently matured pbulb.

I don't know if this year is an anomaly, or if I can maybe expect this plant to bloom multiple times a year, but I'm quite tickled with it right now

thanks for looking

I have the exact same one and it surprised me as well by blooming in the fall last year. It also bloomed again this spring. If anything, it seems to want to bloom twice a year - but THREE times! Lucky YOU! Good job!

thanks Rosie

thanks Paul - I was doing an internet search for this one after I posted here - one vendor who sell this does have bloom season listed as 'various', so I guess it can, and hopefully will, bloom multiple times a year, if it's happy

thanks Kim, silken, pink, nenella - the color is what initially grabbed my eye, and 'made' me buy this one - I'm just tickled it turned out to be such an easy grower and bloomer
