I think that after all my plant might actually be a Miltoniopsis. The flowers are somewhat similar to my Miltonia spectabilis but somewhat more round and the growth habit is different too.

I agree, this looks like Miltoniopsis to me from the flower shape. The lip can often be similar to Miltonia but the petals and sepals are rounder on Miltoniopsis and more spikey/star like on Miltonia.

Gorgeous! I love Milts. It is a Miltoniopsis although they are often referred to as Miltonias still, which causes some confusion.
