Howdy All
Once you get it established, it will be good to go. I've got some in pots, and some mounted. They go either way, but are often best left undisturbed after establishment.
One thing -- if you want blooms, give it all the light it can take
Take care
may all your orchids bloom like crazy

I grow my plants in my bedroom's windowsills. I could put it on the roof or the fire escape in mid spring/ summer.
How many new growths usually come from each PB per year?
Does it grow fast?
Would be that enough light? They have a huge one growing PBs everywhere in a huge basket at the botanic garden. Maybe I will post a photo.

Grow it in whatever medium you are comfortable with. Once it is rooted, give it bright light, let dry between waterings, fertilize regularly while in growth, give it a cooler, drier winter rest (following blooming). These are notoriously rampant growers that make specimen plants easily.

Thank you all for the help and suggestions. I don't have any available container for S/H so I ended up using a mixture of bark, CHC, and a lot of perlite. I didn't really like the terracotta pot because it only has one hole on the bottom, so I really have to watch my watering or move it to a different pot.

Hey again
if your pictures are showing what I am thinking I am seeing -- did you sprinkle some time release fertilizer in this pot?? -- if those little gray doobers are fertilizer, brush them away from the base of the plant, so as not to burn the new roots which will form right where they are now, and that older growth is about to push the new roots out. You don't have to remove them, just brush them off to the side away from the base of the plant. Wouldn't want to take the chance of causing fert burn.
Take care

Hi, I'm a new member. I have a beautiful orchid house that my husband and I builded, but my oncidiums are not doing to good. I tried different type of media and they're not that good.I take care of them, all my orchids in general follow Dr. Motes's rules. I live in Miami. Do you have any good advice for me?
