Yes the roots are supposed to be whitish. When you mist them, they'll turn greenish. If your humidity is low in your growing area, you'll need to provide moisture to the arial roots.

just misting the roots?
And the pot 1-2 times a week?

I'm not sure I am understanding your question. You'll need to water the plant 1-2 times a week or when it needs it. The aerial roots will dry out quicker than the potted ones so will need to be misted more frequently if your growing space is low humidity. They will not be able to absorb moisture out of dry air.

Sorry, I didn't make myself too clear!
I meant, Should I water the pot 1-2 times a week and misty the roots daily? My humidity is definitely not like in a greenhouse anywhere between 50-60%, fluctuates a bit daily...
I would think with humidity at 50-60% you would not need to mist daily. You can watch those roots pretty easilyand just mist if they start drying out or every time you water the plant, mist the aerials.
