Default Odontocidium Golden Trident 'Golden Gate'

Had to wait 3 years for this one to rebloom. I almost gave up on it. The wait was worth it as the flowers have a much better form this time around. Here is a picture from 3 years ago. Note the rather gappy flowers.

The blooms certainly are fuller this time around, but I like the color of previous bloom better.

I agree with the comment about the previous colors. The spots seem too brown this time around. Does amount of light affect the blooms of this spp? It does with some others such as Bllra.

Light, temperatures, and even nutrition can affect the blossoms.

Amazing what happens when a plant grows up! Both are lovely flowers!
Re: photographs ... were they both taken in natural (existing) light?

I'd bet not. And that could be part of the difference we see.

How exciting Todd, the blooms are gorgeous. My guess is the lighting. Possibly a brighter light goin' on with the first . Excellent
