Thanks everybody! Even though the pics are out of focus, at least the color is true, unlike last time.
Also, I'm sorry I brought out the coulrophobia (fear of clowns) in so many viewers!

I own this Orchid. Just picked it up this weekend at an Orchid action here in Orlando. It has 4 new stems 1, 1/2 starting to bloom already. This is the Orchid you need if you want an Autumn feeling orchid. The yellows, orange to browns just SCREAM Fall.! In looking at the stem. Yes, something about the stem does have a uniqueness to it. It really matches great with the over all feel of the plant [Clown thing, or something].
I just feel it should be called a "Turkey Day Display" more than Halloween...

Regards,

I just purchased one of these but no care sheet. Any tips for keeping it growing. Its in bud with some blooms open. It appears to be in very tight moss- not necessarily the best idea.

I love it and it doesn't scare me a bit! <G> Now some of those freaking den with the long pointy petals scare the heck out of me, especially at night. They look like aliens!

Is this one hard to grow? I've seen it around twice now at greenhouses, both times very distressed--too distressed to make me take it home. After seeing the pictured though, I may have to reconsider if I find one again!
