Tolumnia Tequila Sunrise
First bloom for this little 'chid. It has two spikes - one is out, other in tight bud. Plant is perhaps 2-3" tall and growing bare root in a 1" thumb pot. Roots are overflowing from the drain hole and the top of the pot. I placed the whole thing (pot and all) into a 2" pot for ballast. I dunk the plant in fertlizer/water daily and let dry overnight. It sits in a south window where it will get any sunlight we can generate in Michigan this timje of year. There is a CF t5 light directly overhead to supplement the sun/daylight. No detectable fragrance so far.
Thanks for looking.

Cute cute cute!!!!!! I've become so in love with these guys. I bought a Tolumnia Genting Peach and it's anything but peach, but it is sooooo cute. I will have to get more. How many Tolumnia's do you have Ross? How long have you been growing them? Sorry, but I'm really into these cuties. Are they suppose to be fragrant? I haven't detected anything on mine yet. Thanks for sharing!

Kiki, I have 5 right now (killed a few due to overwatering ). I have since moved to either large charcoal chunks as medium or bare root. At least two of these are very fragrant, two are sort of fragrant (really mild). I think fragrance is sort of inherent with many Tolumnias, but takes a while to develope. When they first emerge, none of mine are fragrant, but as they mature, so does the fragrance. One of mine is a progressive bloomer (it will rebloom on the old spike) Tolumnia Sniffen. They are generally so small you can keep adding more and increasing your collection. I'll be adding a few more this next spring, for sure.

Very nice, Ross
This is one Tolumnia that needs to be purchased in bloom because I've seen a number of color variations within the same plant name.
The dark coloring in mine seems to be a bit more red than yours...and I've seen them look like totally different plants! It's an odd one but I love it
Well done

This is so very true and even on the same plant the blossoms can vary a bunch.

Ross,
Just have to tell you how lovely this is!!! I used to grow lots of these and your great picture here encourages me to see about obtaining more!! I have always felt that you get more "bang for your buck" with the equitants than any other orchid. And, as you mention, most will rebloom on branches from the old spike which gives a long bloom season. I am so glad to see that these lovelies are making a come back. Great flower, great picture Ross!
