Default Sarracenia purpurea in bloom

This is my first time to see my Sarracenia purpurea in bloom. As it started to wake-up from its winter slumber in late Jan, it started to make the bud and now it is in bloom! Such a lovely carnivore!

Just some more photos, petals deeper burgundy color and sepals raised a bit. Tried to get a photo of the anthers underneath the umbrella style:

Oh I love that photo SFLguy! Thank you for posting it!

Yes, I have two more, a Sarracenia psittacina and a noid Sarracenia. Psittacina is just waking up, while the noid Sarracenia I got from a recent plant and garden show. The vendor said it is similar to a Judith Hindle? So it is a noid Sarracenia for now..unless you have an idea which one it is

Right now it is in part shade/part sun. Shade till about 11am, full sun 11am to 2pm and then part sun the rest of the day.
