As I'm looking through the smilies available, I'm amazed at how many negative ones there are out there
I can't imagine our site being as nasty as some other sites must be if those are the smilies they have access to!
I'm always on the lookout for new smilies that would fit our environment here so take a look every so often...you never know when a new one will pop up
Smilies are a very important part of any chat or forum because the written word without some human inflection can easily be taken in a way that was unintended.

I've used the yawn but wouldn't ever choose the "loser" or "liar" smilies either.

I've used the liar, yawn, but not the loser yet. It's fun to incorporate them into the postings. I've even used the "beating of the dog" because I hadn't seen it used before. However, when I use them, it's always in fun.
Yes, I have way too much time on my hands.
And I love it! Too many past stressful office management days when I would come home and not have an ounce of energy left in me for my kids. That's when I felt like a total It was fine before kids came along, but not anymore. So I quit! And that is no Okay, now where did I put my coffee Need a pick-me-up! kiki

I guess my eyes are failing me
I thought that was a dead horse, not a dog.

I like the yawn. Its good to use in chat when you are about to go because it way past your bedtime.
Don't see why it would be considered a negative smiley. Right now, I am feeling kinda because I went to bed at 2 AM and woke up at 7 AM. When will I learn!!

The smilies in the forums and the smilies in the chat room are not the same. The chat smilies are a much more complicated undertaking.
Tin, did you at least have fun staying up until 2:00am?

Well, I remember we used to have a yawn smiley for the chat room. As far as having fun last night, Yes and No. I was watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and folding laundry and ordering my closet at the same time. The movie was good, but frustrating that the story is not over yet.
