Default Fruit & Vegetable bonanza

I don't know if its USA-wide but the prices we are paying for certain fruit and vegetables must be the lowest ever. I just paid 50c a lb for Granny Smith Apples and the same for hothouse tomatoes. Red onions are $3.99 for 5lb. Fennel bulbs at 99c each. Avos at 49c each. There are lots of others. This is in the Chicago area.

Banning by Russia of certain imports must be part of the reason........
Russia sanctions affect Washington apples, pears
