Default Eucharis amazonica

The white lily from the Amazon was divided and repotted in spring and spent the summer in a corner of the greenhouse flor. Now the plants complete the growing season with a bunch of flowers.
Eucharis are valued wedding flowers and graced the bridal bouquets of the Dutch queen Beatrix and Swedish princess Victoria.
Even the roses give thanks to me with a final farewell gift.

Very nice. I like this plant, but have had trouble flowering it in the past. Lots of leaves, no flowers.

Very nice!!! I have been very curious about this plant for some years. How much light and water does this one require?

Eucharis originate from Peru, Department of Huanuco, San Martin, also a hotspot for orchids. So I grow them in my intermediate to warm greenhouse, which was shaded over the summer. They like bright indirect light, but no direct sun. They grow easy, are fond of fertilizer and whenever I spray insecticide they also receive a preventative spray, as mealybugs love them.
Sometimes they are shy bloomers, and honestly I do not know what exactly triggered flowering now. I think I kept them on the dry side for a few weeks, and also temperatures were lower.
It is recommended to keep temperatures in a range of 12 - 15 °C after flowering for 2-4 weeks to make them flower again (which is not possible here during summer).
They are also highly recommended for growing in hydroponics.
And they reward efforts with a lovely fragrance.
