We called this one Board-leaf cycad here.
I purchase this plant about 20 years ago. At that time, it was only about 15 cm tall. It is a slow growing plant and produces new leaves once in summer.
The new leaves are pretty yellow-green colored. Then, they will turn dark green months later.

I love that plant! Too bad I gave it away when we moved.

I just realized, I've had mine for over 10 years now. I like them, they're very cool cycads...and yes, very slow growing. One new set of leaves a year, except for last year when it only made a couple of cones.

I gave my plant a hair cut this year, since it had several years growth on it, and the oldest fronds were really starting to look ratty.

This is a plant that I grow outside in the summer, and then in the winter I can practically stick in a dark closet and it manages just fine.

Has it ever produced a cone for you?
