Sugarcane is an important commercial crop in tropical areas. Sugarcane enjoys sunny and warm weather and hence in central and southern Taiwan, we have a lot of sugarcane farms. The red- stalk type can be eaten as a fruit directly and the yellow or white stalk type is used to produce sugar.
