Hey everyone, i'd just like to start off by saying I am really sorry for all the confusion earlier and I will do my very best to put all of my threads in the appropriate place and put them here if I am in doubt.
The second thing, which is why your reading this in the first place is that I would like all of your help in deciding what type of plant we are going to use for the bonsai experiment, it has been expressed by a couple people that apples grow too slowly and i have to say that i agree.
So instead i was hoping all of you could help decide with me,
The optimal choice of plant doesn't necessarily have to be a tree any plant can be "bonsai'd" so use your imagination.
optimally we would be using a plant that is easily grown from seed and grows relatively quickly. Also the optimal plant would be one that is naturally too large to be considered in most indoor growing conditions. This is so that we can observe the dramatic change in height of a plant that is not producing it's natural gibberellins, and also so that we can obtain a cute tabletop version of said plant.
It was suggested that we bonsai Papaya and i agree that we should take it into consideration it is relatively quick growing doesnt require dormancy like apples do and can produce fruit in 2 years even without the aid of hormones.
So just keep that in mind as you think of other idea's
Once we have decided on the type of plant we will be using i will order seeds offline and provide them with the supplies for the project.
I hope to hear from you soon
Best regards,
Kevin Disher
