Default Can anyone ID this plant for me?

A week or two ago, I was upstate (northern Michigan) visiting the parental units. As is my wont, I did some weeding of their flower beds while there. I found this plant growing under a red twig dogwood tree. I'm curious as to what it is................

Yep;I have it in my garden,as do my neighbors.
But ONLY in the undisturbed areas of the garden.
Its an immigrant from Europe.

Saw it today on Vancouver Island - it is graduallly expanding its range - recently found in Manitoba. It's kind of a weed.

Thanks everyone! Now I just have to decide if I'll let it be or not. How unfortunate that an orchid had to hit weed status.
