nope these guys are way too big for my house - previous years have been in hot inland climate, so the minute the weather turns they first one blooms right away - then puts out leaves - i usually lost all the pretty flowers due to high wind in march and then it blooms again later in the summer if i remembered to water it enough.
this is the first season closer to the coast and more mild temperatures, aka - the heat isn't driving them to grow so fast this time, the flowers are taking a lot longer to bloom out than i remember....and its the first time #2 has started putting out blooms, which makes me wonder if the inland climate was just not making it happy - though it was a younger plant to begin with. i think it has pink flowers if i remeber right, they are 1 - the japanese version, 2 - the chinese version as well.

wisteria a few years later
just updating my thread with a couple new pics.
My two wisteria plants in full foliage...I let one climb the overhang last year. there is one pot at each post. ( an a few other plants in the pic.
this pic is a wisteria seedling that i didn't know was planted until i found it in one of my hibiscus pots. I had to pull it out since it would over take the pot eventually. apparently it won't bloom for many many years - but since it got itself started, I might as well let if grow!

Wisteria starting to bloom!
When I saw the subject of your post I thought "Is this a post that got delayed somehow?" Our wisterias bloomed a couple of months ago. Of course, they spend all their time outdoors planted in the ground. Here, they can be aggressive and climb all over the place so we have to be alert with the pruning. We have a couple of them trained into tree form and they are really attractive.
