It's funny that you mention that, because my computer always acted funny when I tried to update the BIOS, like it got all the way to the end, and then nothing happened or whatever....
Anyways, $200 poorer. $100 of worthless labor, and $100 of useless new parts that are so specific to this model that I am really not looking forward to trying to sell them on ebay again.

John- he had tried the switch thing, turns out. He completely unwired it and such and nothing changed.
Sooooo, I will be hooking it up to the monitor of our new desktop until Christmas, when hopefully I will have been given some laptop money. And I'm going to get an Asus.
