Thanks again you guys. All of you have been an inspiration . Im dealing with this illness and its tough. I will keep you informed. The thing about the water in fak is that my self being a local and going out to the everglades for about 20 years is that I drive along tamiami trail to reach fak. During the year, I always pay attention to the canal. Which at times is very low in water. Sometimes,it's over spilling because of all the rains from april through july. Just about july the water in fak starts climbing first to your ankle. One month later its up to your waste. I've seen nine ten foot gators in water that deep. Not a smart thing to do. Especially alone. Water starts draining during the winter. No rains and that's when you should go trecking or swamp walking at this time its almost time to go back to the swamps. And enjoy a peaceful day in Gods land!!! I hope that helps. -Ghost hunter

I'll apologize for not responding sooner, but I somehow never saw this thread.

Keeping a positive attitude is the key thing. OK, you've got cancer. Done. Nothing you can do about that now. What you CAN do is think positive and try to objectively assess what happens/what you'll allow and accept, so you can move forward.

When I was diagnosed with metastatic malignant melanoma it absolutely devastated my wife. For me, it was "OK. Now what do we do?"

Everything happens for a reason - even though we have absolutely no concept of what that may be - so have faith and move forward.

You'll be in our prayers.

Hey Mike Glad to hear from you! I might be heading out this weekend I'll let you know what the water situation like. I went 2 weeks ago and your right it's still quit high in place's most area's were knee deep. We found ton's of blooming clam shell's and 7 new ghost's. Also according to the book a very rare terrestrial the false water-spider orchis. Hope to see you there soon.

Dad it’s me. If you ever read this, I just wanted to tell you that I love you dearly. I’m really scared to loose you because I need you in my life more then ever. I always thought you never wanted me to be around you when I was little. I was always so shy to talk to you and tell you how I felt. But I always appreciated every second I had with you. I loved seeing you whatever chance I got. I cried myself to sleep at night , because I didn’t have a father around I never really knew why you and mom split but I assumed it was your fault without getting your side of the story. I never wanted to tell you how I felt because the little times when we were together I wanted them to be happy and not sad times. I wanted you to have fun with me to the point where you would want to see me again but sometimes I wouldn’t know what to talk about. I hated when you would call me “quiet” and say “chloe you don’t talk much” . It would make me cry and hurt, and I didn’t know how to express it. Every time I had a math problem I knew I could come to you so I did. I always wanted you to go to my parties but you always said your not a party person but everyone wants their dad to be their. But now I’ve gotten to know you so much and Im so proud to have a father like you in my life to protect me and tell me the truth and be there for me. Too see you suffering makes me suffer. I was it was me with the cancer instead of you. I love you sooo much Dad, please hang in their and fight this out for me. You’re the best dad a girl can ask for . I want to spend every minute I can with you. I want you to become strong again SWAMP MAN. & I want to go to the Texans vs. dolphins game if possible. I love you with all my heart . Please everyone pray for him. Please!!!!!!!
