Yeah, I already have my privacy filters set on max, except for friends of course, since I first got a FB profile a couple years ago. And I know I'm being slightly irrational but...
Screw it, I'm joining up.

The act of joining the OB group on Facebook doesn't automatically make all other group members your FB friends. If you want to take it a step further and become FB friends, you have to put in a request, as usual. It would have nothing to do with being a member of the OB group.

It's more of a irrational: "Oh noes! I just joined a group and outed my name, losing all anonymity. Now I shall forever be branded as one affiliated with the insidious group know as OrchidBoard. Soon black helicopters will be coming."
...
wat
Okay, maybe not to that extent, but you get the picture.

I just joined FB this summer to stay in touch with friends and share pictures. I am still learning how to do things on OB and learning how to do things there.

The black helicopters came by my house last night. I found they retreat quite quickly, though, when you throw the old, wilted blossoms at them.

And all this time I just the helicopters were flying by because we lived on their flight path.

Funny you mention that.
Few months ago, my friend/last roommate once admitted to me that he only knew me from the previous year as that "Asian guy who runs around taking pictures and keeps a bunch of cool plants in the RC (residential college) lounge."
