I've got orchid pics from this trip in their respective forums, but I just had to post a few of these bog pictures. In East TX most of the bogs are small little niches, "hanging bogs" as they're called, nutrient deficient openings deep in the woods. I had never seen one like this in an open field. When we pulled up I thought the yellow color was some spring wildflower. They were all pitchers!

Drosera brevifolia.
