No need to do that, Camille
It was funny
I'm glad Ross brought up the previous thread on this subject though because it starts with one or two really cute or funny "other" smilies and then folks get caught up in it and we end up with huge sparkly shooting stars kinds of smilies that take up half a page!
If anybody sees a smilie they would like to have added, as long as it is in keeping with the size and style we already use here, let me and/or Marty know and we'll see what can be done about adding it here.
Thanks everybody

We could fix that! I'll just bet Doc and I could hire a refridgerated truck, fill it up with snow from my roof, and drive "straight through" to get it to your pool before tomorrow evening. What do you think? Cold water?

Yes, we got about 2" to 3" overnite...but nothing like what you guys get from the lake-effect thing!!!!! You ought to post a pic, 'cause many people don't realize what the lakes can do regarding snowfall....well, unless you live in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse or other upstate NY cities.....

Let's add the whole northern tier of Ohio. I know we have folks here from this area and they can get their share. Western NY gives even west Michigan a run for the money. And Cadillac isn't in the snow belt. Gaylord has been hammered (well, with snow, but maybe other stuff too!) I have lived here since 1977 and can't remember any year with this much snow so early. More snow, yes, but not so early. There was one year in the late 70s when we got 4 feet overnight! No exageration! It was like 1978 or so. And my wife and I put our backpacks on, donned our cross-country skis and went to the market for groceries! In those days I got on the roof myself and shovelled. I was much younger then. Now I have it hired out.

I bought mine a few years back as "snow insurance" (insurance there wouldn't be any snow!) Hasn't worked for me, but maybe yours is working as designed Seriously, I think you are located in a snow shadow. I know further east, the lakes contribute a lot to snow (like Hamilton and Niagara Falls).

We haven't had much snow at all as of yet. The last 10 days or so we've had alot of rain to the point of flooding out the back-yard. That passed, boy was I glad!
Today we sit at -20. Topping to -30 with the winds. It supposed to be +8 on wed with rain. Then freezing up again, Lovely
I'd say by friday we should all be skateing to the cars
I like the white stuff, bring it on!!!!!
