I got a small elephant bush for use in a succulent dish garden, and then read that they get big but you can use them for bonsai and keep them small. So I thought it would be cool to give that a shot, and I got another elephant bush that looked more tree-like, and it turns out that one was actually 7 plants.
For lack of anything else to use (I couldn't find the pots I was looking for), I planted them in some of those clear plastic saucers (after poking drainage holes, of course).
They're held together with wire and have a bunch of gravel piled on in an attempt to make them stand up. Hopefully they'll get better at it when the roots establish.
