:cheer: Tin!

You add the word "Mini" to everything it applies to...
and I'll keep resizing pictures! ;)

Oscarman 07-25-2006 12:27 PM

Sue, I guess you are making pictures Mini too!

:coverlaugh: It's a conspiracy!

Since someone brought up pictures...is there a way to resize them on this forum? I ended up going back to photoshop; can it be done automatically?
I think the miniatures are just wonderful - will try to get a single frame of a Schoenorchis fragrans that I filmed at the Baton Rouge show a couple of weeks ago - it was just beautifully grown, with a half-dozen fans of leaves and two full beards of flowers - though I nearly inhaled the entire plant, I could detect no scent. FWIW

Hi Nancy :)
If you go to the Beginner Discussion section of the forum, you'll find the top two posts have been made "sticky" and they contain the photo resizing information that you seek ;)
If you have any questions about them, let me know. :)

Nancy, be sure to include *MINI* next to the title.
Can't wait to see the pic!

I thinks it is a great proposition. There are numerous small orcids spread over the hilly terrains of western India. I an recall having collected many varietal forms of Dendrobium microbulbon which grown barely no bigger than a shirt button!Flowers of this orchid are larger than the plant borne on numerous spikes in spring season. Likewise there are miniature cirrhoprtulums, erias, tiny saccalobiums that in vegetstion look like phals. I hope to get them photographed for out interested readers. I have also discovered a miniature habeneria which is epiphytic its other cousins. Hopr more will join the chorus for miniatures. Good luck Nancy.

Hi, sorry I don't always reply to messages as I don't always read all the posts. BTW, if you guys see someone wanting my attention just send me a PM, this way I'll get my ass in gear

I know there's a lot of orchid enthusiasts that like orchids, but they're not up on the lingo or classification. Perhaps, we could make a section on the forum (say "quick links"), with subsections that would link to the appropriate forums in the alliances and would say stuff like slippers, miniatures, dendrobiums, cattleyas, etc. Just a thought, you guys decide - we do have quite a bit of forums as is

Right above the alliences I put shortcuts, let me know if that would do it... What do you guys think ? If it's a go, we can put more, if no, I'll take it off.
