Default Sarcoglottis sceptrodes

I picked this up, in bloom, at the Tampa show recently.
First bloom opened today...very interesting little guy

What an odd flower ..
Sarco (Greek) - flesh, meat and glottis (Greek), a variant of glossa, tongue. As that word could also mean “throat”.

So you have a little fleshy tongued blossom there

I got one of them for free from EFG orchids
at the WOC, they would give them away when the volcano would go off. Just a little thing but doing good. Jim.
