I've had this little guy for over 10 years and it flowers every year with a couple interesting barred flowers with a magenta lip. The growth pattern is vanda like. It loves warm temperatures and bright humid conditions in my warm tank. I feed it organic seaweed and fish emulsion twice a month.

I tried growing this in 40% humidity. It would begin growing roots or new leaves, then they would just die. Every time this happened the plant got smaller. It took about 18 months before it was not there any more.

Thanks JPMC.

I have mine in the warm tank (18-35C) and spray daily with RO water, 80% humidity, watered once or twice a week, fertilize every 2 weeks with fish emulsion and seaweed (flush next day or two, due to moss sensitivity), 4 inches away from T5 lights (Sunblaster)... is that similar to yours, Seca?

The person who sold it to me said it would do well in my bathroom under the skylight. I watered it every day. When that was obviously not working, I moved it to my orchid growing room, and then my sunroom. Both had 40% humidity much of the time. Vanda seedlings do very well in both those rooms if I water enough.

I don't have a permanent terrarium for humidity-loving plants. I have an old aquarium I use for some orchids when I go out of town, but it doesn't have lights, sprayer nor fans.

I have since bought an evaporative cooler, so my sunroom is much more humid now (70%.) I might try this little insect bearer again.

Hopefully you will find the perfect niche for it! Good luck!

I like your set up, and nice flowers too.
