Default New plant table

I did have all my orchids on a very crowded one shelf table...but just finally got a new table to keep my 16 orchids on. It's a 4 shelf table, but I'll only be using 3 shelves for the chids.

After splitting them across 3 shelves, it looks pretty empty...excuse for buying more? haha

It looks nice and airy.

What direction does the window face?

Nice shelf. Now you can hang some mounted chids. Off the sides and the front . Lots of room.
Watch out for the vent on the floor. I had a vent near something years ago and slipped it into a ziplock to keep direct air off that area.

The window faces NE

All the chids seem to like where they are. Everyone seems to be doing really well.

Yea, the vent was something that I figured I need to do something about...just didn't figure out what yet. See, that room is my "guinea pig/orchid room". My guinea pigs have this huge cage in there as well, and if I completely shut the vent off, it could get either too cold or too hot for them, so I need to figure something else other than shutting it off out.

Try checking with Home Depot or Lowes. They should have a plastic attachment to direct the air flow across the floor so you can keep the room warm but not going right up to the plants. You sure dont want to freeze the piggies or the chids.

Don't shut the vent off completely. Just get a short piece of wood like plywood and make a diverter. Or better yet get a plastic one from Home Depot. They make diverters for both directions Improvements Catalog or buy online from this place. They work great.

Thanks for that link! I think I'll go ahead and get one! I might go around the house and make sure I don't need any more as well!

I have a few of those diverters...they do work well! If you get them in HD or lowe's, you'll save a bunch of $$$
