Lol bellini girl!
and yes MrHappyRotter, the plastic sleeves you mention are indeed flimsy, I couldn't believe when my son (who assembled it) told me they were to hold the entire shelf weight! Fortunately they did not break,I wouldn't be surprised though,if enough weight was placed on them!
Pilot I have this out on the porch but because of an awning,I only get indirect light.
It does have wheels and since I've heard that Dends and Catts like a bit of direct sun also, I was thinking of wheeling it out to the patio where the sun is full for an hour or so. I don't know whether my back will permit this though
Bud, I water them right out on the porch, I turn on the hose to a soft spray and water. Then I either leave some of the water accumulated under the rack to evaporate naturally, or if it's humid enough I sweep it all out to the patio. that's my "technique" so far. The humidity here is sky high and it's been raining every single day too.
I was dipping them individually but, too time consuming, plus my back condition limits me that way.
To feed, I just slowly pour a cupful or two of the mixture in each one and let it drain, then I give a quick spray in case any got on the leaves and such.
Don't know how effective this feeding technique is, but it's easier for me than the individual dipping.
