My new orchid bench...............
I built this new orchid bench over the weekend. I liked the way it came out so I'm in the process of building a second one just like it. It's usually not this crowded. I put extra plants on it for the picture.

Merlyn, I made the lath. They are 1/2" x 3/4". I got them from Home Depot. They were 14' long. I put them in standing up so the 1/2" side is across the top. I used the 3/4" for spacing so each lath is 1/2" across and 3/4" space between them.

I did the whole project on Saturday because I wanted to be free to watch football on Sunday. I have a small pnuematic air gun and a power miter saw so it went very fast. I glueded all the joints also since those little nails from my gun don't hold real well. The most time consuming part was staining it which took a lot longer than I thought it would.

Very nice job Tucker. I think Chryss and I would like to see some dimensions/plans to knock one up ourselves some weekend.
Cheers.

Hey I just noticed the orangey-pink Phal you have there. Does it have a name, and where did you find it? And could you post a bigger pic of it? I absolutely love Phals in this color palette. In fact I have one very similar, which is the real reason I'm asking.
