Very nice! With a beautiful orchid setup like that, perhaps you should entertain more often!

Subscribed - I'll be watching for updates as you fill those empty spaces and figure out how to grow taller species. Have you considered hanging a shop light vertically, and removing the middle shelf from one of your units? You could then take that shelf, hang it vertically from the backside of the top shelf, and hang mounted orchids from it. (Did I describe that well enough for you to visualize it?)

Cool

Great setup!! I see you have a humidifier standing close by. That is my problem not having enough humidity right now my home is at 30% so I need to raise it. Do you have any problems with to much moisture from the humidifier?

Truly awesome. I'm very jealous that you can devote an entire room to your hobby. I'm limited to my guest room, which is used quite a bit (parents and in-laws visit a lot...we've got a 2 year-old who is the only grandchild...LOTS of visits from the grandparents!) so I can't get carried away with a large set-up like this.

Love it, love it, love it!

Way to go my friend! awsome set up. I have the same shelves in my wardian case. they tend to rust being in high humidity though.

I love the way everything is so clean and organized. Makes quite the impact on first time viewers I am sure. When I get more space I want my setup to look something like this.

Stephen, how many inches do you have between your shelves? It looks great and so neat and clean. Now for more plants........

That is a great setup. I was just saying today to my hubby that I needed more shelves and had to organize more on watering and temp and humidity. Now I can just go by how you've got it done.

No real problems. It gets so dry here in winter that the added moisture in my apartment is actually kinda nice. Plus I don't get shocked anymore turning on the TV.

For the higher-light plants (top two shelves), 16" between the bottom of the tubes and the top of the humidity tray. For the lower-light plants (bottom two shelves), about 20".

I got those on Orchid Web: Orchid Web: Humidity Tray & Grid Bear in mind, as others have pointed out on here, that the trays don't actually do much to raise relative humidity. They mostly just catch what runs out of the pots when watering.
