No real problems. It gets so dry here in winter that the added moisture in my apartment is actually kinda nice. Plus I don't get shocked anymore turning on the TV.

For the higher-light plants (top two shelves), 16" between the bottom of the tubes and the top of the humidity tray. For the lower-light plants (bottom two shelves), about 20".

Orchid Web: Humidity Tray & Grid Bear in mind, as others have pointed out on here, that the trays don't actually do much to raise relative humidity. They mostly just catch what runs out of the pots when watering.
