I felt terrible about wasting all that gas running up there so to justify it I picked up a Brassavola jimminey cricket.

I hope Jim didn't hurt himself too badly
Thanks for taking the time to check on this one for us...if they won't have 34 available then it doesn't make sense to waste time discussing it. Your efforts are appreciated

This is the list that Sue is maintaining. The list of plants we're considering is at the top, then there are two other sections: 1 for plants that aren't available everywhere, and others were suggested but that are not right for the project because of one reason or another.

So.. I went to the show in London Ontario, and goodnews for the 3 Canadian participants in this gig. Between Yvonne's Orchid Fancy (Schriebers Orchids) and Orchids in Our Tropics.... I would say that almost all of the specimens on our list is in Ontario (One of them seemed to have jumped into my bag today.... don't tell!)
I saw most of them at the show..... I don't know why I was surprised at how small the plants we've got on our list are.... I guess that's why I was getting the sizes wrong when I was looking for plants here.
I also saw that downward growing plant there, Gongora armeniaca. It was rather big I think also. It was medium sized and I know it wasn't fully grown yet. :P Good thing we took it off

So Schreibers is a good vendor? That would mean that we can add Lycaste aromatica and Promenaea xanthina to the list!!

Lycaste aromatica
IOSPE says medium to large which leads me to believe it's a no-go
*Orchidwiz has it listed at 24"...not good for us
Promenaea xanthina is now #19 on the list

If it was up to me, it would be on the list! Shannan saw it at the RHS London Orchid Show, and she says its a large small sized plant (if you understand what I mean) Short plants, but some were in what seemed like 9' pots.
So it looks like this might be a no-no plant unfortunately

Here is a pic... unfortunately, none of the aromatica had leaves, so I could only judge from the pseudobulbs....
I would say that the names were written on 2x3 inch black cards, for size reference....
