I have it under the t-5s in the corner where it also gets some late afternoon sun on it. Looks happy so far

I have some awesome news..... that little nubbin that I thought was a new root has grown a "thumb". Definitely has a "mitten" shape now.
I bet it'll LOVE being under the lights!

AWESOME!!!!

It is great to hear the good news!
First, an orchid that looked bad getting a new leaf and now we have another that is spiking. Congratulations to both of you!

Anyone have any updates? My spike seems to be completely stalled...still nice and green but if it's grown at all I can't tell. The bottom leaf yellowed and dropped but the 2nd new leaf it's put out is growing nicely. It still has 7 healthy looking leaves so I'm not too concerned about it dropping the bottom one.

Sure here's an update on mine. New leaf almost grown out, new root progressing, something trying to poke out towards the bottom. Keeping it cool, moist, and with morning dappled sun.

Wow, looks great! Even the remainder of your slug eaten leaf looks really healthy! How much and what kind of light are you giving it?

It gets 3-4 hours of dappled sunlight from a southeast window in the morning. Temperatures are in the upper teens C/ 60s F.

My spike has grown slightly, no new leaves, but the old ones are still looking good. Still goes outside in the daytime to get the cool temps and sunlight. Comes in at night if temps go below 40F .

I'm glad yours looks so good. Mine is trying to grow a new leaf but it's dropping the others. I think it is going to be a goner. Oh well. I do want to kill that orchid that gave it the fungus and me for not catching it in time.

I hope you can save it. :| Mine was looking a bit parched so I had to pot it and move it to a miniature greenhouse. It seems to have stabilized.
