25C with an Antarctic blast... I'm jealous:-)

I recently checked the weather for Cairns and was wondering why it is so cold at night. Now I know
(I was traveling from Cairns to Brisbane some time ago and since then, Queensland is in my weather app :-)

Nice, how long ago? Did you manage to get out to the reef?

What exactly is inocucor?
If the product works as everyone says it is, maybe soon I will have new roots to report...something at least. My project plant needs to be a little more exciting to compete with the Angraecums (now that is sad).
It's that new plant solution Ray is selling it has beneficial microbes in it. I mix it sometimes with the seaweed.

Pleased with the progress of my new leaf's growth. I haven't seen any new root growth but the roots it came with still have green tips so I'm considering that a win. I'm honestly surprised that I haven't killed it yet but its actually doing well

Then it should love it here. Our temperatures vary daily without apparent rhyme or reason. There can be a 10'C temperature change from one day to the next (thunderstorms cool things rapidly here...not sure how it can be cool today and very hot tomorrow, though). :|

Our temps are also crazy this year. It is dropping into the mid to upper 50s (F) and highs have been 80 to 90 (F). Now that's a temp differential

Ours as well. We have another cold front coming in this weekend. It's Ok with me I don't do so well in the heat.

I agree with that. I am loving these cool nights. I think the chids are enjoying it too.

I have two of the Amesiella monticola orchids. I have what looks like a new leaf forming on the one I have inside. The one outside in my greenhouse just lost a yellow leaf today. But the roots look good, I think it is just taking longer to adjust to the new environment. Will get a picture up again soon.

Yep, Mandy yours definitely looks like a spike. Mine is also doing well it's newer leaf is almost done growing and I still have a green root tip skimming the medium. I have it in medium light with my phals and am trying to increase humidity I placed in inside a taller plastic cup. It seems to like that!
