Mine has grown very fast, I think it likes the hot humid weather in my shade house.

I am almost positive that this is a spike, it has the mitten shape but hasn't gotten grown much since then. I followed advice of listing it sit in a bit of water till the spaghnum soaked up the water. I only do this early in the morning. The nights are really cool in Colorado lately so I don't know if the plant likes it that much? The leaves look great, very succulent-like. The roots still get nice and green when moist. Still doing very good but man o man does it grow really slow.

Mine's barely doing anything. Perhaps I should put it outside. The orchids I've got outside have been loving the weather (which took a while for me to notice because many recent days have been quite human-unfriendly weather).

This is why I am going to move mine into my terrarium, I think. Warm and humid in there. It's happy, but it's growing slowly.

Mine is alongside some of the Angraecums as well. (Didieri, crassum and an Aeranthes gradiflora)

Yesterday as I was watering mine I noticed something strange also. I got a picture of it but am having to recharge my battery. It doesn't look like the new root that's coming out but I am also not going to hold my breath

I looked again today and it is starting to look like a root. I couldn't really believe it could be a spike so soon any who
another root is good. I'm just happy it is doing something. I can't find my cord to upload pictures, so no pics today.

I sure hope your is though wouldn't that be fun.

I will have to get my camera and take a pic and upload on my computer so it will be much clearer. Maybe sometime this week
