I'll try to get an Amesiella in Switzerland.
First vendor I asked didn't have one.
I'll ask at my society meeting tomorrow if someone has an idea where I can get one.
Because Switzerland is not in the European Union, I have to pay for Cites-paperwork for every orchid I want to bring in :-(
That would be about 40-60€ plus shipping plus the plant 😳
But I bought the Cucumber-Dendrobium at a show last week. So I'll definitely participate in a secondary project.
Hey. And I just mounted my new Aerangis citriata from the first poll :-)

Really?? I thought that since Switzerland is in the Schengen area, there is free circulation of goods. I was just on Schwerter's site planning my order and checking the shipping costs, and they don't mention any extra paperwork for Switzerland. Maybe you could contact them to verify?
I had heard of certain orchid growers not shipping to Europe, but thought it was for other reasons (for instance, a friend who runs her own business told me that there's a lot more complex paperwork involved in her tax forms if she sells to customers in CH. So she doesn't do business there for now)

OOOooo, they have the Dendrobium laevifolium that I wanted originally! Well, that pretty much seals the deal.

You will enjoy the Amesiella. It looks a Phalaenopsis flower with a nectar spur. The flowers are iridescent and they smell like honey gardenia at night. The leaves are like small Phalaenopsis plants, wider than Vanda leaves.

I won't be because there is another grower that has other orchids on my wish list. So you don't need to count me for Ray's.

It's Ok about Ray for me too as he is out of the tetraspis that I wanted to have as a TC. I can get it from someone else as well. I'll just order my other stuff from Ray that I need. I have found 2 different places that have plants that have been on my list. I just have to decide which ones I want. I'm trying not to get to many new ones because I am having a hard time taking care of what I have now.
And I don't know if I am going to do the second plant project yet. I guess I will see where I decide to order from.

Say Mandy, now that i have already posted. Let me know how the plants are I may wait to order mine and just pick it up if I get to Denver on Monday. Not sure I can hold off in my impatience . I don't think they have all there plants on there sight. I should call them and see if they have any of my other wish list orchids. Also as I'm thinking of this I don't know how much room I will have and my friend my have some throw aways and I don't want to have to lug around to many.
He has to take me to the hotel where my sister will be and I will have to wait for her to get out of her meetings. Can you just see me with all these orchids at the hotel, people looking at me like I am crazy

No-Pro-mwa, I called the other day to see if they had it and they said yes so I drove 2 hrs to get here and guess what?! They don't! She misunderstood me they didn't have it. I got a load of beautiful orchids but I was disappointed but that only means I must order and with that means more orchids lol! They have the polydactyl ( spellings that wrong ) orchid here though.

Definitely give them a call No-Pro-mwa, make sure to have the girl repeat what you say bc she kinda dismissed me so quickly when I asked her if they had amsiella monticola. When I arrived I found out why, they are extremely busy girls! Very nice and helpful though and will answer any questions you have when you get there. Well just remember to take an extra luggage bag for your orchids! Now one will say anything lol Colorado has very unique people living here and they are very accommodating of your interests have fun here!
